Welcome to the Optical Computing and Processing Laboratory website!

The Optical Computing and Processing Laboratory (OCPL) within the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Arizona is focused on scientific/engineering research at the intersection between optical physics and information/communication theory. These projects are generally concerned with optical devices, systems, and associated algorithms in support of optical and optoelectronic measurement and processing. The OCPL is directed by Professor Mark A. Neifeld and since 1991 has made important research contributions in the domains of data storage, imaging/sensing, computing, and optoelectronic devices/systems. Click here to go to our Research page.
